Conducting polymers—II. Electrical conductivity of poly(bis-2,6-diaminopyridinesulphoxide)

1989
Abstract Poly(bis-2,6-diaminopyridinesulphoxide) was prepared by Michael addition of bis- N -sulphinyl 2,6-diaminopyridine with 2,6-diaminopyridine at 150°C. Thermogravimetric analysis indicates that the polymer is fairly stable compared with other conducting polymers up to 200°C. The activation energy of the degradation of the polymer was found to be 50 kJ/mol. The electrical conductivity of the polymer at various frequencies was measured.
