The invention discloses a method for improving the polishing property of nickel-saving austenitic stainless steel. The method comprises a smelting procedure and a forging procedure; in the smelting procedure, silicon-calcium wire feeding is carried out before casting; before silicon-calcium wire feeding, the content of Al in molten steel is controlled to account for 0.0040% or below of the total weight of the molten steel; during silicon-calcium wire feeding, the weight ratio of added Ca to Al in the molten steel is (2.00-3.00):1. According to the method, Ca is further utilized for modifying an inclusion on the basis that Ca is utilized for improving the purity of the molten steel, so that hard spots are avoided after polishing; the Al2O3 hard inclusion in a finished product of the nickel-saving austenitic stainless steel is coated with a Ca/Si oxide, and the rigidity of the hard thin-series inclusion is 1.5-grade or below, so that the polishing property of the finished product is remarkably improved.
