Effect of Housing Dimensions and Materials on Human Thermal Comfort in Air-Conditioned Beds

2021
Innovation has paved the way for mass energy consuming technologies such as automobiles, washing machine, microwaves, and so on. With rising awareness about a phenomenon such as global warming, there appears a need to analyze the current power consuming nature of our devices. In the past, air conditioning requiring less amount of energy had been proposed. Generally, one 1.5-ton split A.C consumes about 5.27 units in an hour. The required load of cooling though may be decreased if the volume is reduced and proper insulation material is selected. In this research work, an air-conditioned bed model has been proposed, and its load analysis has been performed by varying the shape of housing and insulation material used along with keeping in mind the human comfort. It shall be much more affordable as it will consume about 0.73 units in an hour, and more is more ecological.
