ANALYSIS OF HALL EFFECTS ON THEENTROPY GENERATION OF NATURALCONVECTION FLOW THROUGH A VERTICALMICROCHANNEL
2018
In this work, the entropy generation of a steady fully developed natural convection
flow between two vertical parallel microchannels with Hall effect is investigated. The
effects of velocity slip and temperature jump at the solid-fluid interface are
considered. The differential equations obtained from the derived governing equations
are transformed and the solutions of the velocity and temperature profiles are
constructed via differential transform method. Plots are presented to explain the
influence of Hall current, Wall-ambient temperature difference ratio and fluid wall
interaction parameter effects on fluid motion, fluid temperature, fluid irreversibility
and Bejan number. The results indicate that both Hall current and Wall-ambient
temperature difference ratio (WATDR) encourage fluid irreversibility whereas fluid
wall interaction parameter (FWIP) reduces fluid irreversibility.
