Bioinspired self-assembled nanoparticles with stable fluorescent properties in wide visible light region

2021
Abstract Development of fluorescent materials with high photostability and biocompatibility is of great importance in bio-labeling and bio-imaging. Herein, we employ amphiphilic amino acids as basic building blocks to fabricate stable biology self-luminous nanoparticles with a uniform size distribution of 300 nm. The endogenous property of amino acids endows the nanoparticles with high biocompatibility. More importantly, the nanoparticles can hold the property of multiple fluorescence emission in a wide wavelength range of 400–670 nm with high photostability. The dynamic fluorescence shift is as high as 1.36779. These properties make the nanoparticles a potential candidate for broad biomedical applications.
