RESUMO Parte integrante de pesquisa aplicada de desenvolvimento de ferramenta de automatizacao de fact-checking, o presente artigo propoe uma revisao bibliografica sobre o conceito de verdade e pos-verdade e evidencia, por meio da exposicao dos termos adotados pelos servicos brasileiros de combate a desinformacao, a necessidade do metodo na definicao de verdade como salvaguarda do jornalismo e na producao de noticias no ambiente digital.Palavras-chave: Pos-verdade; Fact-checking; Pos-modernidade; Jornalismo; Automatizacao.ABSTRACT As part of an applied research in the development of a fact-checking automation tool, this article proposes a bibliographical review of the concept of truth and post-truth and, through the exposition of the terms adopted by Brazilian fact-checking services, the need of the method in the definition of truth as a safeguard of journalism and in the production of news in the digital environment.Keywords: Post-truth; Fact-checking; Postmodernity; Journalism; Automation.
