[The diagnostic characteristics and surgical treatment of acute cholecystitis in middle-aged and elderly patients].

: From 1980 to 1990, 340 elderly and senile patients underwent treatment for acute cholecystitis. Of them, 109 were operated on. To diagnose the disease, immunologic reactivity of an organism was considered. Diagnostic errors were made in 10.2% of cases. Three patients died.
