An information system operation and maintenance management method based on a five-element system comprises the steps of 1 arranging information system equipment assets to form a 'system-equipment-network' uniqueness correspondence relation table; 2 establishing a basic architecture model, namely establishing the basic architecture model based on an internationally universal ARIS process management platform; 3 establishing a 'five-element' relation model; 4 achieving automatic network equipment monitoring and the like. The information system operation and maintenance management method has the advantages that on the basis of the five-element system, a traditional equipment asset operation and maintenance concept is changed, a multi-dimensional stereo IT equipment asset management model is created, the problems of poor equipment data accuracy, low standardization and like are solved, and the IT asset management foundation is laid. The bidirectional cut-through relation of 'index relevance posts and systems, system relevance equipment and equipment relevance institution' is established, the post responsibility is implemented, and the problems of undefined responsibility of operation and maintenance workers, unmatched institution and working contents and difficultly-implemented performance assessment indexes are effectively solved.
