Double-bud oblique sowing breeding method for healthy sugarcane seed stems

2012
The invention discloses a double-bud oblique sowing breeding method for healthy sugarcane seed stems. The method comprises the following steps of: selecting primary seed stems or secondary seed stems of healthy sugarcane seedlings serving as a seed source; growing the primary seed stems or the secondary seed stems of the healthy sugarcane seedlings for 6 to 8 months in a field; and cutting the primary seed stems or the secondary seed stems of the healthy sugarcane seedlings into double-bud stem sections, obliquely putting the double-bud stem sections at the bottom of a planting ditch, wherein the stem sections and the planting ditch form included angles of 40 to 50 degrees, the distance between the stem sections is 45 to 55 centimeters, and the seed consumption of each mu is averagely 2,200 to 2,700 buds. By adopting the method, the seed consumption of the sugarcane is greatly reduced, the sugarcane buds are distributed uniformly, natural conditions are fully utilized, the tillering and stem forming rate of the healthy seed stems is improved, and high yield is achieved.
