Effect of cold compaction on the properties of High-Tc superconducting phases in multiphase mixtures of bismuth cuprates

The effect of room-temperature compaction under high pressure on superconducting properties and phase composition of multiphase mixtures of Bi-based high-T c oxides was studied. The pressure dependences of superconducting transition temperature, phase contents, and lattice parameters are reported. The data obtained can be used for optimizing the cold-pressing procedure in the fabrication of bulk multiphase bismuth ceramics for various applications.
