A cost-effective phase-modulation-enhanced duobinary modulation to improve SPM tolerance using only one Mach-Zehnder modulator

We demonstrated a cost-effective phase-modulation-enhanced duobinary modulation scheme to improve the SPM tolerance using only one modulator. After 230 km of transmission, compared with no phase modulation, we observed a 12 dB sensitivity improvement. (2 pages)
