Creating Sustainable Entrepreneurial Higher Education Institutions: Fundraising as a Transformational Financing Strategy in Modern Post-Communist European Countries – Case of Croatia

The philosophy of sustainable entrepreneurial higher education institution is a recent issue in post-communist European countries. As this case needs sustainable funds for its development there is a significant gap between implementing new financing strategy and developing modern entrepreneurial HEI. As most of business schools in developing countries are currently in the middle of the model of following the best practices of business schools in the United States, good way is also following the best funding practice strategy – fundraising. As the fundraising relates mainly to funding of the schools themselves, its development has led to the development of the very strategies of funding its use. Strategies are those that are extremely important for the successful implementation of unduly and successful fundraising projects. This paper focus is on developing sustainable entrepreneurial higher education institution, their change of funding options and implementing new, transformational strategy of fundraising as a potential of financing strategy in HEI’s among modern post-communist European countries.
