Study on the trait segregation of Chinese jujube naturally pollinated seedlings

2003
The branch, leaf and spine characters of naturally pollinated seedlings of 19 varieties of Chinese jujube as female parent were studied. The results showed that most characters presented obvious segregation on different Chinese jujube seedlings from the same variety, especially the seedling height, length of spine, length between branches on the trunk, branch spread, number of branch and diameter at butt-end. Percentage of plant with blossom and number of flower of 2-year old Chinese jujube seedlings varied significantly among varieties of female parent.
