Multiresonant circuit dimensioning and characterization method for a 12 kW converter

1996
The multiresonant concept is here adopted for soft ZVS commutation benefits and switching frequency increase. The study deals with analysis and computation procedure of a high power LCCL multiresonant converter for telecommunication equipment The involve theoretical analysis and design of such power circuit are tied to the working mode multiplicity and the validity field of the converter behavior in frequency domain. Multiresonance leads to an over second order system, so the system working conditions study becomes more difficult. The major specifications of the present study are total definition and control of full load and no load conditions. These working conditions must be obtained without any change of the converter switching principle (ZVS), for the whole predefined frequency range. A reduced 1kW power system is theoretically and experimentally demonstrated and a target 12 kW converter is projected.
