A shock-absorbing bearing comprises a. pierced jewel 13, a cap jewel 14, and a rigid cover 19 removably attached to diametrically opposite free portions of a spring 20 by tongues 22. The spring 20 is annular and of circular cross-section, and is opened at one point in its periphery to facilitate its insertion in grooves 11 provided in diametrically opposite projections 10 on the bearing housing 1. The tongues 22 are disposed in grooves 8 in the housing 1, and grooves 9 are provided for the insertion of a tool 31 when assembling or removing the spring 20. The tongues 22 are provided opposite boss portions 23 of the cover 19. Ceritring means are provided comprising a ring 12 co-operating with a conical poition 16 of the jewel setting 15.
