Uloga društvenih mreža u formiranju identiteta adolescenata

Nowadays, social networks have an extremely important impact on young people. They are ubiquitous. Over the past few years, social networks have become services visited by hundreds of millions of people a day, and that number is growing significantly day by day. The most common users of social networks are young people. The period of adolescence is complex and difficult equally for young people and their parents. It is a period in which significant physical and mental changes occur. Today's young people are growing and shaping themselves at a time when all information can be reached with one click, and face-to-face communication is becoming an increasingly rare form of communication. There are many positive and negative sides of social networks and theirimpact on shaping the identity of adolescents. This paper will explain their impact on self-confidence, self-perception, peer relationships, quality of communication, the way of presenting oneself online, etc. In addition, adolescence as a period of life and Eric Erikson's theory of adolescent identity formation will be explained.
