A educação ambiental como ferramenta de transformação socioeducativa em escola municipal de Pau dos Ferros/RN

Environmental Education (EA) has become one of the essential tools for the dissemination of ideas aimed at promoting environmental quality. In this perspective, this work has as main objective to present a brief experience report of experiences and actions aimed at Environmental Education at the Escola Municipal Sao Benedito, in Pau dos Ferros, RN.  The methodology consisted of presenting in a playful way through a theatrical play the importance of proper handling of solid waste, as well as emphasizing the 5 R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink and Refuse). There was also a debate on environmental issues related to waste production and a toy making workshop focusing on the reuse of materials. Thus, Environmental Education actions in these spaces contribute effectively, promoting cultural transformation through socio-educational concepts, which can reflect in improvements in environmental issues.
