Classification Position of Ku'erle Aromatic Pear Identified by RAPD

Ku'erle aromatic pear is an excellent germplasm resource in pear genus but its classification position is in dispute.The classification position of Ku'erle aromatic pear was analyzed by RAPD to provide the basis on the DNA level.The results showed that the average Euclidean distance between Ku'erle Aromatic Pear and P.ussuriensis Maxim,P.Bretschneideri Rehd,P.pyrifolia Nakai and P.communis L.was 6.071,5.685,5.972 and 6.732,respectively,which indicated that Ku'erle Aromatic Pear should be included in P.Bretschneideri Rehd.
