A method is described by which a sample of whole blood may be applied to acrylamidc g11 to obtain electrophoresis of hemoglobins. Brythrocytes are hemolyzed upon contact with filter paper discs which arc impregnated with a hemolyzing agent. The disc, opplird to the top of the acrylamide tube, proe rinsed with a xetting agent, Kodak Photo-flo; and filled to within approximat,ely % inch of t,hc tolt with the gel mixture.
