Population-genetical analysis on phenotype frequency in two qualitative properties of the language of Brčko population
2006
The objectives of this research were to establish the recessive phenotype frequency of recessive phenotype- (non)capability of tongue-rolling r (%) and recessive allela (qr) and the frequency of recessive phenotype (non)capability of tongue-folding u (%)and recessive allela (qu), then to compare these properties with available data from other localities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and with other corresponding data from the world literature. The research was performed in two primary schools of Brcko District (Fifth Primary school in Brcko and primary school in Brka). The sample involved 700 tested persons, both sexes (345 boys, 355 girls) age 11 to 16. Analysis of the results of sample established the frequency of recessive phenotype "nonroller" (38,71%) and recessive allela (qr=0,62). In comparison with the sample in the world population it has approximate value of the frequency of recessive allela in the sample from The Republic of Chine (qr=0,61).The results analysis of non-capability of tongue folding in total sample established the frequency of recessive phenotype "non-roller" (12,57%) and recessive allela (qu=0,35) that is significantly different from the frequency of recessive allela in the sample of tested persons from Bosanska Krupa (qu=0,67), and is significantly different from the frequency of recessive allela in population Croatia (qu=0,88) and Montenegro (qu=0,97).
