Study of Extrusion Die Repaired by Laser Cladding

A technique of laser cladding repairing extrusion die was investigated.This technology is characterized by using the method of laser cladding and special iron-based tungsten carbide alloy powder to repair damaged parts of the mold.Additionally,this technology is also applied to repair the broken regions of H13 steel-aluminum extrusion dies,and to acquire the metal ceramic coatings with smooth,no pores and cracks,which can improve the hardness of extrusion die H13 steel greatly.
