Ancillary installing a prosthetic acetabulum for a hip prosthesis

This ancillary device (1) comprises a handle (4) for handling a cup (2) provided in its distal portion, a head (34) for gripping the acetabular cup and in its proximal part, a surface (14) for applying an impaction force. The instrument set further includes at least an endpiece (6) adapted to be secured removably to the distal end (28) of the handle (4). This tip defines both a face (72) of wedging the acetabular cup and an opposite face (76) of interaction of the tip with the head (34) of the handle (4) .Use to positioning a prosthetic acetabular cup into an anatomical cavity or prosthetic hip of a patient.
