Soft Measurement of Process Improvement Potential

2021
In the field of business process management, there are a number of models describing the levels of process maturity. However, it is not always obvious which factors promote or impede the transition of the process to upper levels of maturity. The study is devoted to the problem of identification and measurement of factors that in combination make up the potential for improving the processes of companies operating in the field of IT and service. As a result of the known process maturity models analysis, the distinctive features of the upper levels of maturity have been identified along with a few groups of factors associated with the transition of processes to these levels. The identified factors are presented in the form of a conceptual priori model of the process improvement potential. The subsequent development of the study consists in the development of scales for variables describing the factors and levels of the potential model, as well as in measuring the strength of the relationship between the factors in the proposed conceptual model.
