Морфофункциональные особенности язвенной болезни у пациентов старшей возрастной группы

The study presents complex analysis of secretory and motor functions, blood flow and morphology of mucous membrane in 1229 elderly patients and 1091 patients of the control group with ulcerous disease of stomach and duodenum, having been treated in two Moscow clinics during the period of 1990-2008. It was revealed that in elderly patients ulcerous disease occurs on the background of normal or reduced gastric secretion. The dysfunction of motor function in gastro-duodenal zone was predominant in the pathogenesis; there were more often observed the ulcers trophic in character and the absence of HP-invasion. All these factors should be taken into consideration when choosing a treatment.
