Comparison of flux-correcting and spline algorithms for solving (3+1)-dimensional relativistic hydrodynamics

We study flux-correcting and spline algorithms methods for solving relativistic hydrodynamic equations. Differences in the methods are contrasted, and comparisons are given for the ultrarelativistic collision of two nuclei within the framework of a one-fluid model. Both methods give surprisingly similar results, although differences in detail are apparent.
