2021
The Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations after 2015, contributes to the formation of an international sustainability regime, evidencing the capacity to build internationally shared frames of reference for the theme of sustainability. The existence and sharing of networks, rules and guidelines for monitoring international practices highlights the formation of an international sustainability regime based on the 17 goals of the SDGs. In this sense, the work proposes to evaluate the SDGs as a practical product of a global effort for sustainability, based on the theory of International Regimes. Thus, reveals how the main international regimes are based, especially, in business communities that prioritize sustainable economic and environmental relations. In this same sense, the work explain how international legal regulation is justified with such relations, to keep it cohesive and effective for all members of the regime.
