La Isla Puná, destino turístico y área protegida del Ecuador

espanolEl objetivo del estudio fue determinar la importancia de la biodiversidad que posee el Ecuador como referente para el ecoturismo, de manera que sea reconocido a nivel mundial. La presente investigacion esta enfocada en la isla Puna, declarada area protegida por su reserva ecologica biodiversa; y en como puede convertirse en un potencial turistico para los visitantes foraneos, lo que permitiria un impulso a la economia de los lugarenos; se establece la importancia del turismo sostenible, pues esta actividad favorece la conservacion de los ecosistemas y contribuira en gran medida en la sostenibilidad financiera de estas zonas. La investigacion realizada fue de tipo descriptivo, documental y de campo; lo que permitio analizar las variables de estudio; ademas se empleo la encuesta como tecnica para la obtencion de informacion de los visitantes, asi como entrevistas con profesionales del campo turistico. Se determino el interes de los visitantes a areas protegidas demostrando una tendencia de turismo responsable. Actualmente las instituciones gubernamentales ecuatorianas privilegian la conservacion del medio ambiente como un medio para fortalecer el turismo sostenible, a traves de campanas a escala internacional para posicionar al pais como destino de clase mundial, que puede ser impulsado a traves del marketing de referencia. EnglishThe objective of the study was to determine the importance of biodiversity that Ecuador has as a reference for ecotourism in the country, so that it is recognized worldwide. The present investigation is focused on the island of Puna, declared an area protected by its biodiverse ecological reserve; And how the island can become a tourist potential for foreign visitors, which would allow a boost to the economy of the locals; It is therefore necessary to establish the importance of sustainable tourism, as this activity favors the conservation of ecosystems and contributes greatly to the financial sustainability of these areas. The research was descriptive, documentary and field; Which allowed analyzing the study variables; In addition, the survey was used as a technique for obtaining information from visitors, as well as interviews with professionals in the tourism field. The interest of visitors to protected areas was determined by demonstrating a trend of responsible tourism. Currently, Ecuadorian government institutions favor conservation of the environment as a means to strengthen sustainable tourism, through campaigns at international level to position the country as a world-class destination, which can be driven by reference marketing.
