OFDM-MIMO radar main-lobe transmitting interference suppression method based on robust beamforming

In view of the complex electromagnetic environment faced by the traditional meter-wave radar, especially the transmitting mainlobe jamming which is highly related to the radar transmission waveform. In this paper, the method of transmitting interference suppression for MIMO radar with frequency division multiplexing is studied and discussed. Firstly, a diagonalized Loading (DL) algorithm is proposed to reduce the estimation error of covariance matrix by Loading the eigenvalue matrix, thus improving the performance of the beamforming algorithm in small snapshot. On the other hand, an algorithm based on the guidance vector uncertainty set is proposed. Its essence is to set a certain error range in advance, and then correct the mismatch by optimizing the weight in the error set. Both theory and simulation show that the algorithm has a strong suppression effect on main-lobe forwarded jamming, which further improves the robustness of interference suppression of OFDM-MIMO radar.
