The critical issues facing business intelligence practitioners

This paper presents the top 20 critical issues currently faced by Business Intelligence (BI) practitioners in Australia. The results were obtained from a series of nominal group technique-based meetings with BI practitioners designed to elicit the most important of the challenges that they face. Developing BI systems for mobile devices is the most important issue facing practitioners at the current time. The list of issues identified are important as they provide an insight into the work performed by BI practitioners that can be used to define a research agenda that is relevant to their needs.
