Análise paramétrica de um modelo de transferência de tensão por aderência em peças de concreto armado fletidas

2007
The most noticeable structural property of concrete is its low tensile strength compared to its compressive strength. As a result of that, concrete structures may work cracked even for low level of loading. Cracks reduce structure stiffness; when they are created, internal stress and strain distributions are greatly modified and concrete starts to present a non-linear behavior. These aspects must be correctly reproduced by numerical models in order to have a realistic analysis of concrete structures. The aim of this work is to make a parametric analysis of the influence of certain variables, in a stress-transfer model by adherence between concrete and reinforcement, over the global behavior of cracked reinforced concrete. In the numerical analysis presented here, via Finite Element Method, an embedded crack model is used. This model takes into consideration the contribution of reinforcement in the internal equilibrium of the element. The embedded models are based on the concept of embedded discontinuities inside the elements. The numerical results are compared to experiments. Key words: reinforced concrete, cracking, embedded model.
