Locust control with deltamethrin

1997
The brown locust, Locusiana pardalina (Walker), is a chronic pest problem and a potential threat to the food security of some nine countries in southern Africa (Lea 1964). Intervention relies mainly on nymphal band control in the Karoo outbreak region of this locust species and involves the detection and direct spraying of bands with ground-based ultra low volume (ULV) spray technology.
