The sustainability of the energy demand growth in the 21st century is highly constrained by the climate change induced by greenhouse-gases anthropogenic emission. This paper presents technological options for large-scale carbon dioxide sequestration, that is CO 2 capture from power plants and geological, oceanic and biological long-term disposal.
