Effects of Partial Slip and Stretching on the Oscillations of the Velocity Profiles of the Bödewadt Flow

2021
A numerical investigation of the effects of surface roughness (both anisotropic and isotropic surface roughness) and surface stretching on the oscillatory velocity profiles of the Bodewadt flow has been carried out. Suitable similarity transformations are used to reduce the Navier–Stokes equations into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. It is observed that surface roughness has tremendous effects on the oscillatory Bodewadt velocity profiles, whereas stretching has no significant effects.
