Ökologie und Kausalität―über die Zuverlässigkeit umweltmedizinischer Erkenntnis

In principle, environmental medicine has two responsibilities. On the one hand this special field is required to provide a practicable and enlightening medicine for people seeking help. On the other hand environmental medicine as an «ecological medicine» is required to analyse the truth content in science and the reliability of scientific knowledge with regard to environmental processes. For not only direct-acting toxicities of environmental chemicals but also the inhalance in ecological systems possess pathogenic potencies. Do these ecological processes in systems actually have the demanded obvious causality?
