Seabees - Variable Geometry Armour Units

The paper shows how Hudson equation for the armour requirements of a coastal revetment can be interpreted in different ways, which can be shown to be relevant to the field of Soil Mechanics. Using this new perspective, a family of topologically similar armour units is described which offer both the designer and the contractor increased flexibility in the design and construction of breakwaters. In conclusion, an illustration of a recently completed revetment is shown.
