Compositions comprising sufentanil and triazolam for sedation and analgesia using oral transmucosal operative dosage forms

A solid unit dosage form of small volume for use in sedation and analgesia operative: comprising combining between 5 micrograms (ug, mcg) and 50 micrograms (mcg) of sufentanil and 100 micrograms (mcg) and 500 .mu.g ( mcg) of triazolam, wherein said solid dosage form is bioadhesive and is adapted to adhere to the oral mucosa until it is supplied by oral transmucosal all of the drug, or mostly, during the period of drug delivery, wherein said form solid dosage has a volume less than 100 uL (mcL) and a mass less than 100 mg.
