ICT And New Media An Educational Tool- A Case Study

Information Communication Technology and new media is the new rapier for bringing change in education system. This paper is trying to understand the impact of new media and ICT in university education and is conceptually analyzing the role of new media and ICT by faculty in classroom teaching. The research is based on the observation and analysis of teaching pedagogy of faculty in classroom over the period of three months. Students’ response werer also captured in the study wherein it was tried to understand that technology usage in classroom affected the teaching – learning process. This study tries to understand the impact and outcome of information communication technology and new media in learning environment of university education. It is also observed that the role of faculty is also changing with times and with changed times faculty presently is also known as knowledge facilitator. With new media and ICT,faculty also needs to antler their expertise and prepare themselves for the new era’s challenges and explore the new hidden opportunities simultaneously.
