Transitional Cell Tumours of the Upper Urinary Tract Radical or Conservative Treatment

Surgical treatment of uro-epithelial tumours of the upper urinary tract is analyzed in a series of 63 patients from the period 1950-1975. A high percentage of the patients showed postoperative renal insufficiency. The feasibility of kidney-conserving surgery in selected cases is discussed in the light of these results.
