Study of EPS based on variable structure control of global time-varying sliding mode for whole vehicle model

A whole vehicle model is established including steering motion model,passive suspension model,tire model,road model and electrical power steering system model.It by adopting a control strategy of time-varying slide mode with global robustness a controller for electrical power steering system is designed,which can guarantee the system to be set at the sliding surface at any state with strong robustness in parameter disturbance and external disturbance.The simulation done in matlab/simulink results that compared with traditional PID control,global time-varying sliding mode variable structure control is faster in response,better in traceability,and the steering portability,sensitivity is improved significantly.
