PROSPEK PENGEMBANGAN USAHA AGRIBISNIS IKAN NILA (Oreochromis niloticus) DI KAWASAN MINAPOLITAN KABUPATEN KLATEN PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH AGRIBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS OF TILAPIA (Oreochromis niloticus) IN MINAPOLITAN KLATEN DISTRICT CENTRAL JAVA PROVINCE

Tilapia have a good demand trend in Central Java Province, that enhance the market opportunity toward tilapia agribusiness. Minopolitan in Klaten District is the area which specialized on Tilapia's culvation as their main comodity. The purpose of these research is to find out the tilapia agribusiness strategy, its production trends, and the prospect of tilapia agribusiness development in the upcoming future. These research is using the observational and survey methods. Both methods are used during the resesearch in February 2014. The data that been gathered are analyzed by using SWOT analysis, production trend analysis by using ordinary last square, and development prospect analysis. The result of the SWOT show the tilapia agribusiness is a beneficial, that lead to conclusion that the perfect strategy is by agressive development policy: 1) Seeding sector by using soil area; 2) Upgrade on tilapia's conservation technology; 3) Maintaining the fluid of production and product distribution; 4) Maintain the price stability and product quality; 5) Informing the future customer about the tilapia quality. Trend analysis shows the constant increasing movement on tilapia production. Considering the over-demanding tilapia seed condition on Klaten, development prospect analysis shows that the seeding sector has a nice opportunity.
