Realizzazione di un sistema di monitoraggio del rumore a basso costo attraverso la nuova app Android “Openoise” - Implementation of a low-cost noise measurementsystem through the new Android app “Openoise”

Nel presente lavoro si propone di utilizzare i piu comuni dispositivi per le telecomunicazioni, quali smartphone e tablet, come alternativa a basso costo attendibile per l’esecuzione di misure di rumore. A tal fine e stata sviluppata una nuova applicazione con codice opensource, denominata OpeNoise, scaricabile gratuitamente dal Market Android Google Play. Per verificarne l’attendibilita sono stati effettuati opportuni test in laboratorio e sul campo. I risultati sono estremamente incoraggianti e lasciano intravedere un possibile futuro per questo settore di sviluppo. ------ In this paper it has been investigated the possibility of using the most common ICT devices, like smartphones and tablet, as a low-cost alternative for noise measuring. In particular, it has been developed a new free and open-source application, called Ope-Noise, downloadable in the Android Market Google Play. To verify the reliability of OpeNoise, a series of laboratory and in-field tests has been carried out. The results are really encouraging and open a path toward new developments in this field.
