Atenção Primária à Saúde na Amazônia: o cuidado à hipertensão arterial no oeste do Pará

2021
The performance of Primary Health Care favors the reduction of cases and complications of Systemic Arterial Hypertension, but in the context of the Amazon, PHC care for hypertensive patients is subject to the influence of the weaknesses of health services in the region. In view of this, the objective of the present study is to characterize the attention to SAH, within the scope of PHC developed in the West of Para. It is a descriptive and quantitative research, in which secondary data from the National Program for Improvement of Access and Health were used. Quality of Primary Care, in the health region of Baixo Amazonas. Data were obtained through the Portal of the Secretariat of Primary Health Care. For data referring to SAH, variables from cycle 3 of modules II and III were used.  Calculations were performed with percentages and simple frequencies. In the analysis, the predominance of access and use of basic exams was identified as a means of subsidizing the care of SAH, however, weaknesses of PHC's performance in the prevention and monitoring of the conditions associated with this morbidity were evidenced. The situation worsens when added to the difficulty of carrying out exams that require more technological and specialized density, as geography and distances constitute barriers to be overcome by the RAS. The predominance of minimal actions in the care of SAH and the presence of gaps in the health services under the responsibility of the PHC subsidize inquiries about their performance in the development of their essential attributes in the HCN, as well as suggest problems in the West of Para in articulating and subsidizing means of care for SAH, according to the needs and peculiarities of the territories of their municipalities
