High-density optical fiber connector

2012
A high-density optical fiber connector is used for matching with an optical fiber adapter and comprises a connector casing, a ceramic inserting core, a spring, and a tail sleeve. Transverse width of the connector casing is 2.5mm to 4.5mm, a front casing and a rear casing are inserted and fastened together to form the connector casing and further form cavity, the tail of the connector casing is connected with the tail sleeve, a guide projection and a spring arm are sequentially arranged on the external portion of the casing from front end to rear end, a fixed end of the spring arm faces toward a tail end of the connector, a movable end of the spring arm faces toward an inserting end of the connector and is provided with a non-return projection, a tail end of the ceramic inserting core is fixed with a tail seat of the ceramic inserting core and penetrates out from a through hole at the front end of the connector casing, and the spring is compressed between the tail seat of the ceramic inserting core and a thrusting block formed on the inner wall of the connector casing. On the premise that the connector meets the requirements of structural intensity and use function, overall size of the connector is greatly reduced, width of an interface end face of the connector can reach from 2.5mm to 4.5mm, and mounting density of the connector can be greatly enhanced.
