Ocena obsega odkritega in skritega brezdomstva v Sloveniji

2010
The purpose of the study was to develop indicators to monitor the incidence of homelessness (discovered and hidden) that will be comparable at the European level, to identify possible sources of information for estimating the extent of homelessness, to identify types of hidden homelessness, to estimate the extent of homelessness on the basis of secondary sources and to propose the future methods of collecting data on the number of homeless people in Slovenia. The starting point of the study is the ETHOS European definition/classification and its 13 operational categories. 25 different indicators were found to measure these 13 categories based on eight different types of secondary sources. The report details the methodology of collection, analysis and interpretation of sources/indicators. Elements to assess the extent of homelessness are given in four tables, which correspond to the four ETHOS's conceptual categories. The study concludes that in Slovenia on homelessness we know too little, it concludes with suggestions for additional research and development activities, which should lead to the construction of a relatively credible system of evaluation of the extent of homelessness.
