A Generic Environment to Develop Control Systems

1995
Abstract High level programming languages and new operating systems provide powerful tools to build complex and sophisticated systems. It can be used to design environments to implement process control applications very fast, reliable and efficient. In this paper, a generic tool to build process control applications is described. The generic tool has been developed in Smalltalk and can produce a Smalltalk prototype or C++ code to be compiled and executed under OS/2, Windows NT, and other operating systems.
