Ultrasound diagnosis for congenital choledochal cyst

Objective To investigate the value of ultrasonography in the diagnosis of congenital bile duct cysts.Methods 30 patients with common bile duct cyst sonography were retrospectively analyzed and compared with surgical and pathological findings.Results The accuracy rate of ultrasound diagnosis of common bile duct cyst was 93.3% (28/30). Common bile duct-cyst can be roundness, oval or spindle-shaped echoless zones, and cyst connected with the proximal hepatic duct was an important basis for the diagnosis of this disease.Conclusion Sonography of common bile duct cysts are more characteristic and ultrasonography can be used as the first choice for the clinical diagnosis of this disease.
