Verifying digital filter error analysis using DFT techniques

Abstract There are several different error forms generated simultaneously by digital filters. Owing to their inherent coexistence, verification against the theoretical values has always been difficult. A spectral technique is presented for separating the deterministic and the stochastic error components in the output signal of a digital filter, thus allowing evaluation of the individual constituents.
