Resonance method of measuring internal friction in refractory materials
1970
A method was developed for determining the internal friction (attenuation coefficient) in refractory materials at room temperature, based on measuring the width of the resonance curve of forced oscillations. Information is obtained for the first time on the amplitude-independent attenuation coefficient of basic, aluminosilicate, and dinas refractories produced by industry.
