Risk quantitation and regulatory policy

The conference brought together legal, regulatory, and research representatives to consider the most efficacious ways in which the science of risk assessment might be made accessible and amenable to incorporation into regulatory policy formulations. Under consideration was the use of risk quantitation in regulatory decision making, the currently available methods for identifying and quantifying human health risks, applications of the procedures involved in specific case instances, and the mechanisms for most appropriately incorporating such analyses into regulatory policy.
