Comparative Radiography Diagnosis of Mammary Cancer

2011
Objective To compare the accuracy and advantages of 3 common kinds of radiological detection in diagnosis of mammary cancer. Methods The data of molybdenum radiologics, ultrasound and MRI of 122 patients with mammary cancer were retrospectively analyzed, and were compared with the corresponding findings of histopathological results. Results All 122 patients underwent the detections of molybdenum radiologics, ultrasound and MRI,and the technological success technology rate was 100%.Molybdenum radiologics was sensitive to mass and calcification, but it had a high missed diagnosis rate of burr;ultrasound was sensitive to mass, but it had high missed diagnosis rates of burr and calcification;MRI was sensitive to mass and burr, but only had a diagnosis rate of 4% in calcification.False negative of MRI was the lowest(14%);the diagnosis rate of molybdenum radiologics mass by ultrasound was the highest(73%).If molybdenum radiologics combined with ultrasound in detecting of molybdenum radiologics, the diagnosis rate could be ashigh as 88%,and false negative rate was lowered to only 13%,lower than that by MRI.Conclusion Molybdenum radiologics and ultrasound is easy to operate and at lower cost, but the accuracy of simple detection is yet to be improved, and the combination of molybdenum radiologics and ultrasound should significantly increase the diagnosis rate, and can be the first choice of imaging examination modalities for mammary cancer.Because MRI can clearly show intricate structural changes of mammary cancer,it is very helpful in making the right treatment plans.
